@"John Savard" The official name is Башҡортостан, with ҡ having an IPA /q/ sound. In Russian it's often called Башкирия, but this is an unofficial name.1 -

I agree with Vasil, but I would tweak /Ж as well, it becomes too black in small sizes. Perhaps a treatment similar to /М would help. Maybe open up /С a bit.1 -

I think the original /el-cy looks fine. It's the tucked-in tails of /de-cy, /che-cy and /shcha-cy that irk me. Try giving them their own column. Oh, and the huge breve on /iishort-cy looks like a cap…1 -

I think we can all agree that the serifed /р is at least as old as the rounded /р, so rounding it won't make your font look more authentic. I would compare it to squeezing the umlauts into the boundi…2
